Call for abstracts – new dates and registration fees
Participants who intend to submit contributions (oral presentations or posters) to the proposed topics, are required to send their abstracts – accordingly with “guideline to abstracts” to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by February 15th  2009.  Confirmation will be sent by Feb. 22nd.
Conference registration fee must be payed, accordingly with the following deadlines:
By February 28th: 300€ for eass members only; 400€ non member; 150€ accompanying
After February 28th:  350€ for eass members only; 450€ non member; 150€ accompanying
On site:                   380€ for eass members only; 480€ non member; 150€ accompanying

We remind you that the annual membership fee must be already paid before registration fee, accordingly with the eass indication (see information below)

Accommodation
As you know, during the days of the Congress, Hotels in Rome are on “high season” dates. We strongly draw your attention to the availability of our organizing committee to help you in finding the accommodation. We offer  3stars hotels (close to the Congress venue) as well as Sporting Centre Guesthouse by contacting our Travel Agency “Sovrana Viaggi”, using the booking form at our website.

Eass 1st Young Award “Alberto Madella” 2009
The Eass Rome 2009 Organizing Committee  decided this award with the aim  of facilitating the integration of outstanding graduate students into the European community of sociology of sport scholars. The award will be granted to a scholarly paper, authored by a graduate student, which is deemed to be of highest quality from among those submitted.  Requirements, eligibility and award will be soon available on the web site.
